Sale extended returns policy

We've extended our usual returns period, just for our Sale. Any unwanted item bought during our Sale can be returned up to 35 days after purchase, instead of the usual 30 days. Our Sale period runs from 24.12.25 - 03.02.26. The return item must be in its original condition (unopened / sealed).

Returning faulty items

In the event your new purchase develops a fault within the first 30 days of purchase, simply return your item to your Richer Sounds store (complete with all original packaging and accessories) and you will be offered the choice of either an exchange or a full refund. If any purchase, which is part of a package and includes another product for free, is refunded for any reason or exchanged, the free of charge product, which will be shown on your receipt, must be returned at the time of the exchange or the refund. No refunds can be accepted without all products being returned

For items over 30 days old, we will happily help with a repair.

Items purchased online or over the phone

If you made your purchase via our website or over the phone with our telesales team, and you are unable to return your faulty item to store, then please let us know so we can get things resolved for you. Please have your receipt number or order number to hand, where possible.

  1. Your statutory rights
    Under The Consumer Rights Act 2015, if any goods delivered to you are faulty or unfit for purpose, provided you notify us within the first 30 days of purchase, you can ask us to send you a full refund or, if you prefer, exchange or replace your product.

    If this 30-day period has passed, we will still repair the goods free of charge. If we are unable to repair or replace the item(s) we will provide you with a full refund instead. After 12 months, your statutory rights as a consumer will continue to apply. Further guidance on your rights in relation to faulty products is provided on the Which? Consumer Rights website
    here. Please note that as regards faulty goods reported after 6 months you must be able to show that the fault was present when delivered to you.

    ii. Our guarantee
    All items including ex-display stock and ex-repair goods (but excluding wearable parts) are guaranteed by us for a full 12 months. Obviously we can’t be expected to guarantee against any misuse (i.e. coffee spilt inside, blown speakers etc.), commercial use, wear and tear, erosion of parts, loss of data stored on any form of writeable/ rewriteable media/ hard drive devices, dead pixels of an amount not covered by the manufacturer’s specifications or where you have not allowed repairs of goods to be carried out by us or our authorised agents. Please note that if repairs are done other than by ourselves or authorised agents, our guarantee shall not apply. The 12-month guarantee period will not affect your statutory rights as a consumer

    In addition to our standard guarantee, you may have taken out our 6 Year Guarantee (this may be taken out any time within 1 year of purchase). This 6 Year Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. For further information, please contact our Web Sales team at

    iii. Our Returns procedure for faulty goods
    All faulty goods to be returned to us must be accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase or if you do not have this, you must provide us with your order number or any relevant information you have to help us track your order details.

    If the goods are covered by our 6 Year Guarantee, you may be entitled to additional benefits for example the free collection and delivery of replacement units. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Unwanted items

Should you change your mind after you've made your purchase, don't worry, we are still here to help.

"Online shoppers receive misleading information about their rights to return items, leading to widespread confusion, a consumer group has said. In-store purchases

We will happily refund or exchange your purchase price in full if for any reason you return your item/s to us in a ‘sealed’ (unopened / unused) condition within 30 days of purchase.

As you can appreciate, we would request that all goods be returned in an ‘as new’ condition complete with packaging and all accessories (please note, for hygiene reasons we are unable to give refunds on headphones / earphones if the packaging has been opened). Unfortunately, goods which do not comply with this condition may be subject to a handling fee. If any purchase, which is part of a package and includes another product for free, is refunded for any reason or exchanged, the free of charge product, which will be shown on your receipt, must be returned at the time of the exchange or the refund. No refunds can be accepted without all products being returned.

If the unit/s you’re returning have been opened or used, we are unable to resell them as new. Therefore, a 10% handling fee may be deducted if they are returned within 30 days of purchase in mint condition with all packaging / accessories (excludes earphones). This does not affect your statutory rights.

a) After a 30-day period from the date of initial purchase you will incur a restocking fee on goods you wish to return or exchange for other goods and some cases, a refusal of refund. Please note that we are unable to refund any bespoke or custom-made items, including speaker cable cut to a specific length, and for hygiene reasons, we cannot refund headphone / earphones.

b) Any restocking fee will be based on storage costs, charges incurred to us for returning stock to suppliers (if this is possible), stock depreciation costs and carriage / packaging fees. Typically, it is impossible for us to simply return made-to-measure items to manufacturers and, extremely difficult to resell them quickly without heavy loss to the business.

Items bought over the phone or online

We will happily accept the return of your online purchase, in 'as new' condition (ie complete with the original box, packaging, and all included accessories).

You have the right to cancel from the time you place your order and up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods - you need to notify us of your wish to cancel your order within this period by email to sales@richersounds.ie

You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify us to return the goods - any goods notified or received outside these periods will not qualify for a refund and may be subject to a restocking charge.

As you can appreciate, we would request that all goods be returned in an ‘as new’ condition complete with packaging and all accessories.

Detailed return instructions for online or telephone purchases:

1. Please advise us of a return of unwanted goods if the product is in as new condition and within 14 days of purchase.

2. The product is complete with all accessories.

3. The product is complete with all the original packaging

4. Please factory reset the product so all your personal details and settings are fully removed – please note we cannot be held liable for any personally information or data that you do not remove via a full factory reset.

5. Please do NOT write on the boxes.

7. Please enclose a copy of your receipt in the box.

8. Please email us in the first instance to sales@richersounds.ie with the following photos:

a. Photo of the product

b. Photo of the product packed with all accessories and packaging with the box open

As soon as we receive that we will mail you and advise you on return authorisation.

9. Please ensure you return the product via a reputable delivery service, trackable and insured as we cannot be held liable for any damage in transit.

As soon as we receive the product back it will be inspected and once the above is all 100% we will arrange a refund straight away – please note in the unlikely instance that any of the above conditions are not met we may refuse a refund or apply a charge.
