Designed for full-bodied sound
Pairing a tube buffer with a fully differential R2R DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), the FIIO Warmer R2R delivers the unique warmth and depth of valves and discrete circuitry. Ideal for any system that might sound ‘thin’ or for ensuring that your digital sources have more of an analogue sound, the Warmer R2R is perfect for connecting to any TV, CD player, network streamer, computer or any other source with a digital output.

Tube buffer for glowing sound
Designed for signal integrity and impedance matching, the tube buffer stage has the effect of injecting the unique sonic signature and warmth of valves into your system’s sound. Fitted with four JJ Electronics E88CC valves, the Warmer R2R delivers a rich, full-bodied sound with a sense of flow that’s hard for transistors to replicate. Powered by a +/-28V supply, the valves have a service life of around 10,000 hours.

FIIO R2R fully differential DAC
Following on from other FIIO devices, the Warmer R2R uses a discrete, resistor based DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). Rather than using a single microchip, the DAC circuit is made up of dozens of thin-film resistors, carefully configured within the highest tolerances. This unique configuration gives the DAC a more natural and organic sound that makes the ideal match for the tube buffer stage.

Choose between Oversampled or Non-Oversampled sound
For the sound that best suits you and your music, you can switch between NOS (Non-Oversampled) and OS (Oversampled) sound. NOS maintains the music’s full originality, with an authenticity that’s true to the musician’s intentions. OS upsamples the signal to 384kHz, for an enhanced performance with improved refinement. Each setting suits different types of music and tastes.

With a range of connections, the FIIO Warmer R2R is a versatile hub for a range of devices. Cool retro style
Although the sound is warm and smooth, the style is unmistakably retro cool and features individual left and right VU meters that pulse with the music. Backlit with a retro ‘incandescent’ glow, they add a visual warmth to the performance. Other controls are kept to a minimum – simply a chunky switch for selecting the digital input and a power button.
