The versatile EVO 5
As the most compact speakers in the EVO 5 range, the Wharfedale EVO 5.1 speakers are supremely versatile. Perfect for stereo sound in a smaller room, either with or without a subwoofer. Their natural balance and even-handed sound also makes them ideal as desktop monitor speakers. If you’re planning on putting together a premium home cinema system, they work exceptionally well as effect speakers within an EVO 5 speaker set-up.

Sparkling yet smooth top-end
Developed from Wharfedale’s high-end Elysian project, the EVO 5.1’s AMT (Air Motion Transformer) delivers a superbly-balanced top-end response. Using a pleated diaphragm that ‘squeezes’ and ‘expands’ the air, the AMT system moves four times more air than a traditional dome tweeter. This reduces distortion, letting the most subtle treble detail shine through. To help further reduce distortion, the 5 Series features new Silentweave and ResoFrame dampers, helping to absorb distortion for an even cleaner sound.

Seamless bass and mid-range
Using a 130mm Kevlar woofer cone, the EVO 5.1 delivers accurate sound throughout the mid-range and bass. Although these are the smallest EVO 5 speakers, the long-throw drivers reach down impressively low, for a smooth and richly-balanced bass response. The Kevlar cone and powerful magnet ensure a crisp response, with timing that’s always bang-on the beat. For sound that’s as clean as it is powerful, the ResoFrame and ResoSeal dampers help absorb vibrations, for an even more lifelike mid-range and bass performance.

Slot-loaded port cabinet for room-friendly sound
For smooth distribution of exhausted air from the cabinet, the EVO 5.1 features a three-sided SLPP (Slot-Loaded Profiled Port). By equally distributing the airflow to the left and right, as well as the rear, you don’t just get a better integrated bass response, but also easier room placement with less ‘boom’ than with conventional bass ports.

Smooth, stylish design, available in a range of colours
Built from a sandwich of materials, the low resonance cabinet is optimised for the largest internal volume, without dominating your room. The smoothly contoured design is available in a range of traditional and contemporary finishes. Choose the walnut wood veneer option to best blend with wood furniture, or choose between matte black, matte white and matte Lunar Grey for a fresh new aesthetic.
