Hear the sound – precisely as it should be
The AE309 uses two latest generations 130mm mid-bass drive units. Featuring a brand new ceramic alu sandwich cone with an ultra-shallow profile and ultra-high force, long throw motor system, the new driver boasts improved dispersion, extended bass slam and overall power handling.

The AE309 also fields a completely new 28mm alu tweeter developed for the 300 Series which offers high power handling and a low fundamental resonance to reduce distortion. However the main benefit to this new design is the excellent dispersion characteristic thanks to AE's Wide Dispersion Technology waveguides. The waveguides shape the acoustic output of the tweeter to match the woofer and provide a more focused sweet-spot in your listening environment.

Improved damping
The cabinet is 18mm high density MDF using proprietary bracing technology which is derived from the award-winning AE Reference series, reducing cabinet colouration and allowing the transducers to breathe freely within the listening environment. The slot shaped duct port on the rear of the speaker augments the bass output and has been carefully developed to reduce the effect of bass turbulence with a clean, undistorted bass performance. Unusually for a speaker at this price level the base of the cabinets are loaded with an inert mass material which adds damping and reduces cabinet colouration. This mass loading coupled with the 8mm floor spikes help stability and provide a solid foundation for the drive units to operate without resonances from the cabinet interacting with the floor-surface.

Choice of luxury finishes
Available in Piano gloss black, white or real walnut wood veneer, the AS309 speakers look every bit as good as they sound. Slim profile, magnetically attached grilles are also included for a more discreet style.
